About The Purple Parade Limited
The Purple Parade Limited (TPPL) is a not-for-profit charity based in Singapore officially registered in 2016. TPPL seeks to be the catalyst to bring about greater inclusiveness and recognition of the abilities of the disability community in Singapore.
About The Purple Parade Movement
.The Purple Parade is Singapore’s largest movement advocating for inclusion and celebrating the abilities of persons with disabilities. As a ground-up, collaborative initiative, it brings together volunteer groups, community organisations, and corporate partners, with an organising committee of over 50 representatives. The movement is co-organised by The Purple Parade Limited and Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC), reflecting a shared, nationwide commitment towards building a more inclusive society.
Over the years, The Purple Parade has created platforms for inclusive participation through its 5C segments: Campaign, Carnival, Concert, Contingent, and Conversations. Together, these segments foster a vibrant and inclusive celebration of abilities, uniting diverse partners and communities in support of inclusion.
Our Mission
TPPL will lead and organise programmes to:
- Deepen society’s understanding of PwDs of different disabilities, needs, aspirations and abilities.
- Develop a Leadership Team that includes PwDs to advocate and advance the disability community
- Forge strong and lasting Partnerships to support the cause of The Purple Parade.
Our Vision
The Purple Parade movement will be a unifying common space where Singaporeans of all abilities and backgrounds come together to support inclusion and celebrate abilities of People with Disabilities (PwDs). The core of The Purple Parade movement seeks to ensure that Persons with Disabilities are included in the main chapter of Singapore’s growth and have equal access to education, employment, transport and social networks.
